Okay, so it's already Saturday, and I'm even writing this in the very morning of Sunday at 3AM. I definitely didn't manage to write anything for Friday, but to shorten everything out, it was payday and I could only enjoy the happy part for that day only. All because I had to pay and allocate every single spending so that all I left is the money to live day by day. I think I'm still in the good place because this part is really controllable and definitely a good time to start thinking about doing meal prep and yada yada yada.

For this Saturday, I think the only great thing that I managed to do is that I finally S-ed Tsunagite MASTER in maimai. It was really unexpected because I was just testing it out. But hey! I got Tsunagite S-ed! That is one off the list of 14+ I need to tackle down.

After that, I had great time dinner as I brought back one big pan of pizza. Shared it with my temporary roommate as he's leaving tomorrow (or rather today). So I guess it was nice, I guess.

I planned to continue drawing but I feel like there is something missing, like a big problem with my current blog system. Specifically, on the media library. You see, previously I'm uploading things directly to the endpoint, which includes the file itself. Currently I'm deploying this on Vercel and it has the limitation of 4.5MB for the request body, and that is definitely not a good thing for media library that can get up to 2 digits in megabytes. So I had to change the flow of the upload so that the original /v1/media POST endpoint will just return asset ID and presigned URL for the upload. The upload will then be sideloaded to the user side and after it's done, the /v1/media/:id/process endpoint is then being hit to "adopt" the file, as to continue with the processing so that it ended up being a complete media asset entry. And it went nicely! The above image is now being tracked by the media library.

Additionally, I think it's better to also automate some of the common "post upload" steps, which includes converting the format, compressing, and even resizing. So I added the "Post Upload Processing" feature on the upload form, which the backend server should use to process the file after it's being uploaded.

I think this is a great feature to have and I feel like I'm really blessed with this.

The next thing I'll need to do is to maybe create something similar but with sirkel.id, as I want to add the capability to create circle cut that is just works. We'll see about that. But for now, I want to finally sleep. It's 4AM now, haha.
